(Movies) Why we want to see Foxcatcher

Being someone who's watched their fair share of trailers and most of them washing away from my consciousness almost instantly, it was a steady surprise to watch the trailer of Foxcatcher, which from the outset dripped with foreboding and terrifying intensity.

The best films for us are those with a mood , attitude or personality and Foxcatcher starring Channing Tatum, Steve Carell and Mark Ruffalo all in rare form, has mood, attitude and personality in buckets. From Channing Tatum punching himself in face to smashing his head through a mirror, Foxcatcher ratchets up the intensity and keeps it at a ten.

There was much buzz about the Bennett Miller (Moneyball)  directed film at Cannes and in the short trailer released recently, it's plain to see why as Miller walked away with the best director prize at the festival. The buzz about the film is still fresh as it three leads all look like they may be getting Oscar nods.

Foxcatcher has everything going for it from star turns from it's lead and supporting actors, strong themes about the American dream, and a truly tragic denouement. In sum, we can't wait until Foxcatcher releases to a cinema near us.
