(What's Dope) What's Dope: First Look Media
Many a Journalist have made a living and won Pulitzers shedding light on the waters edge of where true journalism ends and corporate interests begin and now these same journalists are met by the irony that these same interests may just offer the best hope of preserving their noble profession that is still crucial to democracy working with any semblance of efficiency.

(Note to the Reader) Note to the Reader: Upcoming Interview and What's Dope's reintroduction
Hey out there,
It's been sometime but we finally did it and secured a top class interview with author James Parsons, talking about everything from his inspiration to write to his admiration for Ren and Stimpy (yes Ren and Stimpy, it wasn't a typo) and it won't be the last. The interview will go live on the site early next Monday so check it out.
Also next Monday we will reintroduce the "What's Dope?" segment on the The Carnage Report 's which will one corner of the interwebs were what's really dope gets it's due. When we ran the segment Two months we got a great response and some of our best numbers this year.
Yes I may be the ruler (editor) of all that you survey and have a major bias in favour of anything on The Carnage Report but What's Dope is a truly great segment if you love what's cool and want to know what's dope five minutes into the future. if you are new to this site (where have been!! better late than never!!) then click on the "What's Dope" sub heading on the home page and get your fix of cool and the five minutes into the future you missed.
Connect with us on twitter @tcrblogspot and check out James Parsons great site to get the dope on our next guest

(Note to the reader) Note To The Reader: Poll of The Day
Hey out there,
in our efforts to get your input, we have introduced daily pools on the The Carnage Report with our first poll live to the right of this post.
Needlessly to say, we're real GOT (Game of Thrones for the uninitiated) fans over here so it's only right our first poll would be about the epic HBO series.
While the first and second season were great, I think the third season was a by far the best season yet as we were exposed to more backstabbing, murders, and just good ol' badassery that was present in the first and second season but last season for me was a cut above.
But enough about what I think, take our new poll let us know what season was best for you, NOW!!!!

(TV) True Detective: Farewell To a Great Show
For all the talk about True Detective, from the comparisons to other shows such as Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad to the myriad of theories as to who exactly is "The Yellow King", one thing is abundantly clear about the show 8 episode run, it is truly great television. From the season long acting masterclass provided by Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson as Rust Cohle and Marty Hart to the excellent penmanship of writer, producer and creator Nic Pizzolato and the outstanding directing of Cary Joji Fukanaga, True Detective has been eight hours of life I look back on as eight hours well spent.
